updates!

So I'm not the most timely of bloggers......I thought I'd do some updating. The third trimester is here! I can't believe this is going by so fast. That's what everyone says happens, but for some reason I thought 9 months would feel longer. 7 have gone by pretty quickly so I imagine the next (hopefully) 2 will too. I still feel good - as you can see from the pics for the previous few weeks, we've been busy traveling, so I think being active helps. Here are a few things that have happened since I wrote last -

I took my last flight before baby! Got up close and personal with several TSA agents (avoiding the giant scanner thing), one of whom gave me some pretty personal and unsolicited advice :) I guess she felt it was okay since she was already in my business :)

It was so good to see all the friends we've seen recently and share in lots of happy events! I got to meet Adina, which was fantastic. Such a sweet, calm baby - seeing Shani and Tony enjoying her and still having time for their regular lives gives me hope that I can do the same.

We reserved a daycare! We looked at several daycare centers and a few in-home places - the in-home places were much cheaper, but in the end, we felt better going with a center. I don't want to be a crazy person, but since we don't have many in-state friends with kids, we didn't really have recommendations to go on. The center we found we both really liked and was the only place we left feeling totally comfortable - the staff seemed to like their jobs and be knowledgeable about child development. It's close to Alex's work, which works well, since we carpool.

The movements I'm feeling now are different than the ones I felt a few weeks ago. Then, I felt more short, quick jabs/kicks and now I feel more rolling around, fluid movements. It's pretty cool, still weird - but neat to feel that she's bigger and moving around a lot.
