21 weeks (May 25)
Week 21 - by popular demand :) Alex and I went to Rochester for Memorial Day weekend and decided to take this week's picture by our old house. Some of you may recognize it - there's now a hula hoop hanging from the front door and weird stuff in the kitchen. Guess they didn't keep it as we had it :) I feel like it's a little hard to see the bump in this picture. We had a really fun time seeing friends and just relaxing. One of my dear friends who lives there (you know who you are) is also pregnant, so it was really fun to share stories about our excitement and the weird things happening to our bodies :)

Little things adding up :)
One of the things I've been surprised about/interested in with being pregnant is how gradually things happen and then all of a sudden you start to notice the change. It's almost like if you took your picture every day for a few months - you wouldn't notice changes day to day but you would from start to finish. My clothes have been gradually getting tighter, but all of a sudden I actually noticed the bump! (ok, this is about 2 weeks ago now, but I'm late in writing :) ) It's probably been there longer than I noticed, but I think it's funny for it to sneak up on me.
Another gradual but now noticeable thing is movement! Like Alex said, he can feel kicks,so I can definitely feel them now! They definitely started out feeling like hunger pangs or 'did I feel something? - no' but some of them recently have been obviously kicks/punches - probably punches :) I don't feel them every day but when I do, it's noticeable, and cool.
Other people are noticing now too - Alex and I went hiking a little while ago and a stranger said 'Oh, you're hiking for two.' And some people at work have stopped asking and started saying 'You're pregnant!'

She Kicked!!
Ohmigod! I felt Baby Girl kick. (This is Alex)
Kind of weird but mostly awesome. Never felt a baby inside a belly before. We really should not have watched Alien3 two weeks ago...
That's it. Just really excited.

Sharing the news
So now that I'm farther into the 2nd trimester, we've been telling more people. One of the best was telling Caitlin. We'd been waiting to tell her until I was farther along and got the chance last weekend when we went fishing with my family. I asked Caitlin what she wanted for her birthday and she said she didn't know. I said 'how about a cousin?' and of course, she thought I was joking. This (candid) picture of when she figured out I wasn't, is pretty priceless.....after she took it in and we told her it was most likely a girl, she said 'She's going to love you.' :)
